One powertrain serves the whole 2027 range: a 2.0-liter direct-injection four rated 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft, driving the front wheels through an Xtronic CVT. Nissan gave the transmission fresh tuning this year for crisper response off the line, building on the calibration work that came with the redesign, and idle stop/start is standard to save gas at Homosassa's stoplights.

SV, SR, and SL grades add a selectable Sport mode that firms up throttle behavior for two-lane passing on US-98. Fuel economy lands at an EPA-estimated 30/38/33 mpg for the S, SV, and SL, while the SR's 18-inch wheels put it at 29/36/32.

This generation's sheet metal swapped economy-car anonymity for an evolved V-motion grille, slim projector LED lighting, and a fastback-style roofline that drops into a sculpted tail. SR and SL grades add LED signature headlights and a full-width signature tail light, while the SR piles on a dark chrome grille, sill extensions, a spoiler, red badging, and the only 18-inch wheels in the lineup.

For 2027 the SR also offers the new Midnight Edition package, trading brightwork for a Super Black roof, black badges, and black 18s. Two-tone paint combinations remain an SR exclusive, and the range greets you with a welcome lighting sequence when you unlock it.
